When Shipley Do-Nuts first opened in Lake Charles, LA I was going to school there. I definitely got excited over this. Yeah of course no fast food place is going to be better than a stand alone shop or better yet what you can get at home. But when it comes to places we frequented growing up, there’s nothing wrong with getting excited over a nostalgic fast food spot. In my case it was donuts and coffee.
Understandable, since Shipley's is a Houston institution. The honeycomb cross-section profile and the unique glaze makes it more palatable than the national Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' chains.

Carl's Jr. was a total flop in Houston. They closed within the last year/year-and-a-half. Flipping the name to Hardee's won't get them out of the flop.

I also noticed that they only had one or two Green Burrito locations here, strange in the land of Tex-Mex. The ones in Katy didn't have it as part of the menu; the closest was the older location in Alief. If Del Taco is similar, I tried it in California before and it sucked!

Hopefully the Hardee’s is located near an urgent care clinic. The number of food borne illnesses will soon quickly increase!

Seriously Hardee’s makes McDonald’s look like Becks Prime!

You’ve been warned.
