Phenomenal.

I might avoid Luby's. It hasn't been the same since the Pappas takeover, and the audience has basically fled.

To be honest, if I wanted to keep it under $25 I might just go to the Taco Cabana on Westheimer and throw the extra cash into margaritas.

I dont drink but I am a generous tipper.
I like LUby because it is on Westheimer and I CAN read the newspaper and stay as long as I want.
Phoenicia now has a restaurant ,I have never been in there, but they have daily special.
House of Pie serve gay pie?
You guys should watch Nflx movie Dance of 41,about gay men ,nicely done, beautiful scenery, costumes and acting, based on real event in 1901 Mexico.
Funny almost all the actors and actresses are white, except his wife, the president;s daughter who is half Indian.
They said this current president is so popular because he will buy a taco and eat in the street.not sure if he is white,Indian or Mulato?

The one in the Montrose used to be pretty good. The one on Westheimer is great too for late-night dining.

Not near Westheimer, but the old TRIPLE A RESTAURANT on Airline near 610 would have been perfect. (RIP).

Again - this would be too far of a drive but a good choice for country cooking plate lunches would be KELLEY'S - there are several locations but most of them are southeast Houston and further out (Pearland, Alvin, League City, Pasadena, etc.). But if you happen to be over there, check it out!
