I've always read that Dallas is more into the wealth, cosmopolitan, image conscious, but this article was interesting.....

The Wealth Report - WSJ.com : California Boasts Most Millionaires

this doesn't include home which is interesting bc that's what usually gives CA the edge.. wow...

Dallas will be quick to correct you. They have more billionaires. I think we've got 10 and they've got 11 or 13 or something. Being neither a millionaire nor a billionaire, it's hard to care.

Get over it.

Oil companies employ millions of educated and hard working people with well paying jobs. Oil Co's reinvest huge amount into research and into communities. Why is no one going after the gold, pharmaceuticals? Because like all liberal they need someone to blame for their problems and their hurt feelings.

talk about hypocrites, Californian who preach hugging trees, but drive around in their Ferrari's and Escalades with 30" gold rims that get 5 MPG can't change their lifestyle, but want everyone else to. I think Last time I checked there were more cars per person in CA than any other state in America.

If you were capable of doing research. you would see that many oil companies, especially in the Refining business are hurting because of the commodity price that is set on the world market.

But you probably want to see Wal-mart and your side of the road Taco Stands creates millions of welfare level paying jobs.

do us a favor, STAY in CALIFORNIA.

They invest $$ into research? REally... cars seems to be getting the same mpg to me.. well not significantly. It is our rich who drive those cars, but you're kidding me if people in DAllas and houston don't as well. Yes, cars and more cars here.. it's sad.. SF though is one of the greenest cities east of the miss. river.

And we in CA are changing that seriously, more hybrids per capita, SF has a subway system, and LA does too (did u know that). Then look on the road in 2009, total electric vehicles only in CA, esp bay area. Believe me, our tree-huggers arn't driving those cars... and if they are they should be chastised. I just hope you're not a person to defend oil companies.... good cuz they give lots of jobs for americans, bad bc they can make as much $$ as they want.... regardless of that doesn't mean they need to set record profits

I do believe they give alot of well paying jobs for americans, but billionaires come on. For something that merely comes out of the ground. They're the most profitable company in America while we pay $4 a gallon. Yes cheaper than the rest of the world, but seriously.
But you probably want to see Wal-mart and your side of the road Taco Stands creates millions of welfare level paying jobs.
Wow first of all we have a very very ANTI-Walmart mind here. Look on the net, we stop walmarts from being built here.
do us a favor, STAY in CALIFORNIA.
Oil is something that the world needs and shouldn't be for only those that can afford it. Y'all in TX are feeling the pinch too... there are a handful of people who are happy that the rest of the US is paying $4 a gallon.
