I'm looking at the plans in the market place. It seems to me that community health choice has the most providers in network around Houston. Deductible is a bit high, but it looks like the best choice for us. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Yes, i recently responded to another poster. I've been with them for several years and have no issues. They cover Memorial, Methodist, and UT Physician systems, as well as the other practices my family uses. No referral needed for specialists. That said, you should confirm all that against the statement of benefits for the plan(s) you are looking at. Also note that they usually offer a short survey that will get you a 10% discount off the premium.

Sure, glad to help. I'm an independent consultant and have been purchasing private health insurance for almost 20 years. Being able to compare and shop for plans on the Marketplace has been a game changer, but it does involve some research to find the right plan for your situation.
