Just heard thunder (didn't look outside to see the intensity of the inevitable lightning bolts) and some rain around 2 am. Luckily it wasn't a severe storm from my POV here in Katy.

No big deal. The grass appreciated the rain. Wish we had gotten more wind, the dead limb near the top of our ~70 ft tall oak is still (barely) hanging there.

Yes, got 2/5 inches of rain at my house in NW Houston.


We needed that rain...my yard was beyond dry and brown.

unfortunately,I watered my lawn just 2 days ago.
It is not the rain but the storm ,it was after midnight,and it went for hours !!!!!!
