Unless on the most minor gripes Houston is a bit too rainy for you. But we are still talking like 100 days vs 90 even though Houston rains more and if you takeout rains from Hurricanes or Tropical storms which is another valid reason to hate Houston weather I’m sure the difference is even more negligible.

I currently live in Austin after growing up in Houston. I don’t mean to invalidate your experience but hers a simple exercise to know if you seriously don’t have an agenda.

Find a city that’s not in Texas and not on the Gulf Coast with a climate anywhere in the world closer to Houston than Austin is. Because Houston’s at the edge of those two climate regions. Then do the opposite. Find a city closer to Austin’s temperature that’s not in Texas or on the Gulf Coast than Houston is. For this one the only place I can think of is Oklahoma. If you can’t find both guess what, they share essentially the same weather.

Default Austin weather

Austin weather is pretty much the same as Houston. It just rains a little less and isn't as risky forHurricanes. Its a luttle less humud.but ultimately there about the sane. Its all just Texas weather.

They simply are not and are staying camped inside their houses for the most part. As mentioned by many of the sources I listed, Houston is typically in the top five on most list in regards to the worst summer weather (whether you want to accept it or not). I'm not the one making the disingenuous claim that the average humidity in Houston is 55 (what a joke!).
Have you even ever lived in Houston? There are people running, walking being outdoors every day in this heat. No not everyone of course, but serious fitness enthusiasts are always out. Then the random ones who are out in the heat who don’t look they should be out in heat in any state.

I’ve noticed newer homes tend to be much more expensive than older homes. Our house, built in the mid 90’s is just around 400k. Meanwhile a similarly sized home in a higher rated school zone can be had for under or right at 300k in Cypress/Northwest HTX built in the 70’s and early 80’s. But with that lower price comes awful building codes and likely shoddy construction.

I think those new subdivisions along 1093 which leads into Westheimer some day will go up in prices as they are convenient for those who work in Houston and shop in Houston

Our 70 year old 1400 sq ft house inside the Loop is worth $550k.
