Mine went up about $500 at the recent renewal - not great, not terrible.

Surprisingly, my auto insurance rates dropped slightly (despite having been involved in an accident last year in which I was not at fault but had to submit an underinsured motorist claim with my insurance co).

Makes me wonder if the big push to increase the homestead exemption had to do with the fact that they knew insurance rates were going to be going up.

Because it would have been insane to have this increase in insurance rates and also property taxes go up.

The way tax values went up, it almost seems like the 100K is useless.
