Well we were staying with some friends of ours. We're from Houston originally, but we lived in Austin for a couple of years and moved back in June. They're still on TWC up there, and the switch to Comcast happened while we were gone. We just got our own place and decided to go with Comcast because of the problems we'd been having with U-Verse at the friend's house. I don't know if Comcast is worse than TWC, but I honestly never had any real problems with it. We never had problems with our service with TWC in Austin, and I don't really remember any problems when were living here either. So all the TWC/Comcast hate sort of mystifies me. I mean, if you can keep our family happy with all of our media demands, you gotta be doing something right.

We've been on Comcast for about a week now, and so far so good. I do miss being able to DVR multiple shows at once, but I have the color red back at least! LOL

I have had AT&T for more than a year now without problems until now and the DVR is booting and erasing everything on it. The service though has been great.

I think it has to do with the service area. I had Comcast in Miami and had near to zero issues. Houston Comcast has been a nightmare for me. So it seems like the city/location has lots to do with it.

I didn't switch from comcast, but I have Uverse and it is the very best!!! Customer svc, and everything. I have the wireless internet too and I like both of them. I think it's a little more expensive, but worth it because it really NEVER goes out.

first off we have comcast cable and they are too damn expensive. spending like crazy to have highspeed internet, phone, hd and dvr services.they give u a 6 month deal and then it results back to the same sky high monthly prices. called at and t and sadly they are not available in the East Hartford, CT area. i subscribed to email alerts when they are available in my area.

We had comcast and we switched to At&t. At&t is much cheaper plus you get more for your money with them.

As a new ATT-UVERSE customer, 3 months now, happy with service, installation was a nightmare, now they are in disagreement with Hallmark, not sitting well with me at all, and I was informed with my bundle a credit for cell phone, upgraded internet, etc. Have gotten NOTHING, "even with my confirmation#'s" etc, then within inquiring of the credit, "cell phones, notta, internet(expired?), now still waiting on 150 for U-VERSE BUNDLE PKG credit, "according to website with confirmation#, mailed August 14th, still do not have, lost 20 each on cell phone and upgraded internet, so I am GREATLY disappointed.

Looks like somebody works for Comcast.

I switched from Dish Network to uVerse 450 in June. Installation was a breeze, got a $300 gift card Visa good anywhere (already spent it), internet is blazing fast (vs. ATT DSL I had before), can record, HDTV on 3 TV's simultaneously, incoming phone calls show up on the TV screen... It isn't cheap, but DAYUM....

Just sayin'...

Ronnie

Comcast and ATT both are overpricing. Hope there are more choices.

I switched from Comcast to Uverse last week, U450, phone, 12MB internet, all for 150/month plus got a $350 Visa card. Best decision I've ever made. Even the menu interface makes Comcast look 15 years out of date.
