Usually the first thing I do when I move to a new area is find the "good" sandwich shop that is close to home. I can't seem to do that here; all I see are a bunch of Subways. Anyone have some suggestions? I am only interested in places in the SE Houston/Pasadena/Deer Park area, but feel free to talk about wherever.

I did see a philly cheese steak sandwich place down by the newer Wal-Mart on Spencer in Deer Park and would be interested in a review if anyone has been there.

I've had good sandwiches at Abe's Cajun Market: Clear Lake City @ Hwy 3
and Wael's Meditteranean: Bay Area @ Space Center

Not sure you're going to find much in the Pasadena/Deer Park/Laporte/Baytown area.

There's Neptune's in Seabrook, but that's a little further away and I'm not sure if they've reopened yet.

Magnolia Bakery is good - it is on Fairmont Parkway in the same parking lot with the 24 hr fitness and incredible pizza.
