The Richmond location has a different selection of clothing, so I enjoy going there. The items are trendier than the Bunker Hill location. However I have yet to use the garage.

oooooh...I forgot about the pirate's booty!!!! Mmmm I am having hunger pangs right about now!!

What little I've had from Whole Foods didn't taste very good & cost way too much. The deodorant didn't work either.
They do have them in St. Louis - I think of that as Central US, too... Having visited Trader Joe's often on trips in California, I was excited to find a Trader Joe's in St. Louis when I was there on a business trip a while ago.

I wouldn't say "better" than Whole Foods, but also certainly not "dam [sic] near the same" as another posted stated either. They do both have an interesting variety of products, have private label products (although Whole Foods doesn't seem to have quite as much of this as they used to?), have some organic items, etc. Whole Foods stores (at least every Whole Foods I have ever visited) are larger than Trader Joe's (maybe there are super-sized TJs out there or miniscule Whole Foods, but I have not encountered them).

I've seen TJ's Pirate Booty & Veggie Booty at both Randall's & Kroger (in the natural/healthy food section) here in Houston.

So how does the Veggie Booty compare to the "Steroid-laden Meat" Booty?

Only in Texas will you hear someone raving about a Trader Joe's LOL
really? only in Tx would you hear someone raving? I don't think so. I lived in Seattle growing up until I was 30, then in LA until I was 40, San Antonio for the last 5yrs since my son was born.
I have heard ravings about TJ's since they have been open.
ie:I lived in Burbank for a bit before TJ's opened a store in town, people traveled an hour to get to one. People "raved" as you would say.

I like whole foods, but Trader Joes is a different egg, and I really miss it and would like to have one in town.

Agreed. Friends of ours in Philly, Boston and NJ "raved" about TJ's and lamented on their trips out to visit us in CA that they didn't have one back in their neck of the woods. Well, now they do (several in their states at that!) and we moved to a state that doesn't even have one. :sigh:

We're moving from Maryland to Texas in June and Trader Joes is one of those things I'm really going to miss!
