Fair warning to all customers of GEXA as of 30 April 2008.

I just received notice in the mail that a data breach occurred 30 April 2008 and my personal information was stolen from GEXA. Thank you so much for waiting 11 months to inform me (explained as waiting due to a request from law enforcement.) They claim no illegal use was made, but I'm not buying it. One credit card issuer of mine just days ago informed me about a security breach with a certain customer (never used the card for GEXA) and are issuing a new card. I don't know if the issues are related, but I warn all persons with any business dealings with GEXA around 30 April 2008 to watch their accounts carefully and inquire directly with GEXA regarding their personal information.

BTW, I am not a present customer of GEXA... I switched months ago.

I heard about that on the news. Apparently on of FEMA's reps was robbed and his laptop with all that personal information was stolen.

Default Begs the question....

Just what was a FEMA rep doing with that information on 30 April 2008??

Perhaps another incident? The letter stated the guilty party had been apprehended.
