My work is relocation us from Atlanta area to Houston. My office will be on Wallisville Rd in the Pleasantville area and my husband's office will be in Jacintoport.

We have 2 young kids (7 and 4) and are looking for very good school district with as small as a commute as possible.

Any suggestions on neighborhoods will be appreciated

Thanks!

If commute's a concern I'd probably look east, like Deer Park. Friendswood doesn't have a very direct way of getting in the direction you need to go and it can be a bit of a haul just to get to 45. Also there's a lot of construction along that part of 45.

You do not say what your budget is...but here goes. I would look at Deer Park or look in the Atascocita/Summerwood area and possible Crosby. Deer Park has a good school district and is a great little city but you would have to pay tolls to cross the bridge daily or use the tunnel which can add time. Atascocita/Summerwood are both in the Humble School District which is pretty good, commute slightly longer but no tolls. Crosby is further out and is more rural, school district is ok, not phenomenal but some folks like the more rural setting. All of the above areas and routes to work can flood, but only Deer Park is in a mandatory hurricane evac zone (Cat 4 or above).

Hi,Thanks for all your inputs. Our budget is in the 400-450K range. I read a little about ClearLake area. Will that be an option for us from a commute and a schools perspective? Also which school district does Deerpark fall under and how does it compare to Humble? Thanks again!!

Clear Lake is a better school district.

Given your budget, I would look at Fall Creek, Summerwood (and surrounding areas), and Clear Lake. Clear Lake has a slightly better school district than Humble. The commute from Clear Lake would be longer and include tolls
