Finally the school year is over and I have finished teaching for the year. Now I can focus on packing up and preparing for the move to Houston. Thanks to everyone for your guidance about where to live. I think I have narrowed it down to at least 4 areas to look at when I fly out in July to search for a place to live, Rice Village, West University place, River Oaks and Pearland. I do not know the area so well but I am sure it will be interesting to learn as I search for a new home. I look forward to working at MD Anderson and serving patients, families and staff as a Chaplain.

Thanks and Blessings
Miranda

My son just moved to Dallas he really liked his townhouse in the Medical Center, but recently changed jobs. The townhouse is up for sale or he will rent. The neighbors are really nice. A family environment. His townhouse in the front across the street from a hospital and close to MD Anderson. 7575 Cambridge Fontainebleau, Houston, Texas.

Can anyone tell me about the Venue apartments/condos, I may be moving to Houston this summer to work at MD Anderson. I would like live ad close as I can to the medical center.

also are there any other apartments that's as close as the Venue is, but less expensive?

City Park is an excellent choice, its close than Pearland and you can take Almeda Genoa Rd all the way to the med center and avoid all the traffic on highway 288. I lived there for 2 years and my mom still does, we have never experience crime and everyone's out and about during sunset. I'm not going to sugarcoat it though, the shopping is terrible. If you want a decent grocery store you have to drive 10 miles to Kroger off of 288.

Personally, I would pick the inner loop/med center area. Suburban style living isn't my thing, I love the convenience of having 5 grocery stores less than five minutes away. It's amazing!
