Hello Everyone. We live in Las Vegas. I have two children. We want to move to the Houston Area, actually the outskirts of Houston.

Can anybody tell me any city that is good to raise a family. We are just looking to find "That place to call home". Where we can rent a house with a back yard for them to run around and play. Where my children can play sports and etc.

Thank you very much

Houston is large. What area of town do you want to live by? That will help narrow it down.

The outskirts of Houston comprise an area the size of a small European country so you will have to be more specific as to what your looking for.

We just moved to Maplewood South with our two small kids. There is a beautiful pool and park around the corner and a good elementary school down the street. The street is incredibly quiet and safe. We are just outside the loop, a very quick commute. And still relatively affordable. I feel like we hit the jackpot. Zip is 77096 if you want to look on HAR.com.

That is still Houston though. When someone says outskirts I think of the burbs.

Outskirts to me are New Waverly, Porter, Galveston and Sealy...anything inside that now is a Commuter Burb.
