I would like to get a covered patio 10X15ft, possibly with stamped concrete and I do not know how much this costs or if there are any good companies/contractors who are recommended. (cinco ranch area) HAs anyone recently done this or know how much it costs? Any recommendations on good contractors or companies that do this? Thanks!!!

I'm shopping quotes for a 11'x17' patio cover. Two sides will be against my house with two top sides draining into the house gutters. Since it would be fitted/attached within the L-shape of my house, only one steel pole is needed to set into the pool deck. The custom-made aluminum frame would have Sunbrella material on top and peak to about 10 ft. The aluminum frame would be double-trussed to support a ceiling fan. The canopy would sit over my existing pool deck. It is only meant to be an open-air sun and rain shelter. The first on-site quote was ~$4.3K. I received a phone quote, site unseen, for roughly the same amount. I'll be getting another on-site quote on Monday.

I suspect I'm being quoted for a premium build structure...but won't know until more on-site quotes come in.

I used Colony Builders... they advertise quite a bit in the mail circulars. They were pricey but did a great job for a roofed covered patio with brick columns, two fans, and floodlights and electric outlets. I also got a quote from Preferred Builders which is the other company that advertises alot, but they wanted significantly more.

We just had a covered patio and outdoor kitchen put in by the people who built our pool a couple of years ago. The company is called Cy Fair Pools, 832-483-2279. They did a great job. I would post some pictures but my husband has the camera. On his website he has some pictures. For both the kitchen and covered patio with flagstone was 4,500.00. wasn't bad. all the other bids were double that!

Might want to try Angie's List which as I understand it is a user review site for contractors. Let me know if you end up liking it.

This is off-topic, but I LOVE Angies List. I've found a great electrician, handyman, drywall repairmen and other repairmen there. I also found the company that installed new windows in my house and the company that installed plantation shutters on those windows. To date, I havent had a bad experience with anyone I've found through Angies List...mainly because the user reviews are so honest.
