You might as well get excited now . . . once you get here you will be depressed. How do you feel about heat and humidity?

Well, personally _I_ wouldn't get excited until I knew that the cat had arrived safely and was purring with hubby......but then, my name is CATfancier!

Really though, it sounds like it is all going very well! Welcome to Houston!

(P.S. Did you have some input into the car purchase? I'm too picky to have someone else -- even a husband -- choose one for me!)

Well, after spending a total of 1 year in Ireland and 5 years in southeast England, I was really, really glad to come home to some sunshine and warmth. Yep, it gets hot here in the summer, but that's what AC is for.
Until you have spent from September-May in dreary, gray weather, you don't really appreciate the sunshine and warmth. In the summer of 2007 I swear it rained every day in London and Kent, and never got above 60!

So, welcome to Houston!!

And I really am your neighbor- only about a 5 min. walk!

I cant wait to get to the heat... tis 13 degrees celcius here today and it hasnt gone much above it.. summer in ireland is horrible.

yes I had input on the car and he got what I wanted.. but then he does spoil me.

Harley cat is going to be well looked after I have a great shipper in Ireland and he is being picked up by Animal Port Houston. he will go from Dublin to frankfurt for an overnight stay with Lufthansa and then on the next day... had some really great feed back on everyone concerend so have every confidence he will be taken care off.

Can't wait to meet you EM1956, mind if you come round to ours there wont be a lot in the house until the shipment arrives.

We also shipped 2 cats over via Continental when we moved back last August and they did fine! And I might add, our Irish cat loves, loves, loves the heat!

Yes its hot and sticky, but it beats the heck out of cold and rainy. Sunshine tends to make one smile more.
