Odd. They're showing up for me now and they were showing up last night.

Very cool pictures.

Thanks everyone.

I think I'm going with the thumbnails from now on. Should make loading easier for everyone (not just those of us with broadband, lol). I can still upload larger images for people to click and see if they want to.

I wish I could edit and update the older threads on here, like I can elsewhere...

These are great pics of Greater Houston. I especially love the nocturnal downtown G-town photos. The Strand is something strangely wonderful at night, no matter if there's a festival or if you're trying to find Rosie's Bar or getting a ghostly vibe at Luigi's.

That one pic of Buffalo Bayou is monumental. One thing I truly enjoy about H-town is our potential personal spaces...or rather, those interesting spots where it's open but very rarely crowded. Buffalo Bayou is near tops on that list.

And that other pic of "Quitman St" where those people are in that block...is that off of N. Main?

I haven't been down to Galveston since late 2007 when my wife and I did some periodic fishing off Seawolf. Is that chessboard still on the Strand?

I got to Galveston later than I wanted to that day and didn't have a lot of time to explore the Strand proper. I was there to see a show at Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe
