Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has information about the railroad along Hempstead Highway parallel to 290.

I'm considering buying a house in Stone Gate at Barker-Cypress and 290, and noticed it's very close to the railroad track.

Does anyone live in the area know where I can find information on the train schedule(s)?

Does anyone in the area no if there is a no-horn ordinance of some kind?

Finally, if anyone lives nearby, how often is the train audible when at home?

Thanks for your help

David

We currently live in Stone Gate, in a section that does not border the railroad tracks (Mallory Bridge). We never hear the trains inside at all. On a quite night when we're sitting out on the back porch, we sometimes faintly hear it.

I don't know anything about the schedule, although it would appear to be a busy line. The area is not a quiet zone where horns are forbidden.
