The bad thing is, the creepy scuzz from the city will seek out the nice/new Wal-Marts in the higher-end 'burbs (Say... The Woodlands, Kingwood, Sugar Land), and DRIVE TO THEM because the one closest to them is even scuzzier.... So, by association they bring down the ones in the nicer areas, too.

I discovered this fact years ago when I dated a girl who lived down in The Heights (which I considered to still be fairly slummy at that time), and they drove up to SPRING to the LOUETTA Wal-Mart. Admittedly, that Wal-Mart has taken a dive in the character of its patrons in the past 5 years, but at the time it was pretty nice.

I never heard anyone say "Yippee a Walmart is moving in next to me."

At least Walmart isn't claiming to build "upscale stores" anymore. Upscale means pergo floors in the makeup/stationary area.

True!

However, how is this Wal-Mart?

This Walmart is one of the nicer Walmarts that I've been to, but hate going there because they almost always have like 2 or 3 registers open and 2 of them are speedy checkouts. Also I don't think that there inventory is as good as the other Walmarts in the area (WM Fry & 290 and 529). They also don't have as many creepy people hanging out as the other WM's in the area which is a plus.

I dislike that too. Wal-Mart is too busy to have only some registers opened.
