It does not matter where you try to go. Asian families in any major city/burb will migrate to where there are good school. Asians are very successful (look at the household incomes for Asians - highest in America) and don't care what they have to do to get their kid into a good school.

I hate to say this but the kids from Clements that I competed with at UT are not just Chineses and Indians. They are also are caucasians Hispanics and Blacks and other asians students (vietnamese, Koreans, Taiwanese). I think that you should not sterotype one or more groups of students.

Asian families also prefer to migrate into primarily Caucasian neighborhoods too.

I understand how important it is for your child to perform well in school but the problem I have is that you assume that the higher percentage of upper middle class white students, the better off your child may be. In case you haven't noticed, almost all of the suburbs in Houston are culturally diverse.
What makes you uncomfortable about a racially diverse public school?
