Purchasing a new inventory home and will be getting a home inspection. Question is though do i need a "regular" one or should i be getting a thermal home inspection? Any insight between the two is much appreciated.

And anyone know of a good one for the katy/cypress area? Many thanks

IMO, it depends how much money are you willing to spend on inspection. The more thorough is usually the better.

In terms of the thermal check, this gadget can also be useful:

Black & Decker Energy Series

Thanks for the input. For 50 bucks its worth it.

As response to this thread it seems not too many people are using this/find it unnecessary/or do not know about it.
