..that almost 70% voted for Sheila Jackson Lee ( chron.com ). She has done nothing for Houston. All she does is posing on national TV or wherever cameras are.

In politics, there's no such thing as bad publicity. Studies show that if given a choice, and knowing nothing else, people will always pick the name they've heard before.

So much effort is put into convincing people they need to vote, no one ever thinks to tell those people to get educated first.

I don't drink, but it happens when you don't check it But her voters must have been drunk at the polls. That is for sure.

I remember her " Hurricanes need more black names" and the "Michael Jackson Holiday". Did I forget something?
Isn't her district West Houston?

I think it's more near NW - like Inwood area. And, yes, you forgot when she answered her cell phone when a cancer survivor was asking a question at a town hall meeting.

I know, WTH?

Well, Bill White won the Dem candidate for governor by a landslide. That should make Huckleberry or whatever that dude's name is on here happy because he can still keep saying "thanks"...

She has done nothing for Houston? Hmmm seems to me doing nothing is a good thing when in comparison with the rest who do something but always do it wrong and at the expense of the taxpayer and to the benefit of themselves and to hell with us peasants.

Does it really matter who wins? Us citizens always lose.
