Honestly, these changes are ridiculous. How can the Texas State Board of Education, decide that the American History that we all were taught is basically wrong.

It's quite simple. Perry appoints people who have no no expertise, but plenty of opinions, to the State Board of Education. Then they write the standards how they want, ignoring input from actual experts. Done.

Actually, SBE positions are elected positions. Therefore, it could be argued any criticism we receive, we deserve.

The Dumbing Down of America continues......

Remember the movie Idiocracy?

I am convinced this is done on purpose - to create a huge working class of malleable people who will fervently vote against their own self-interest in favor of the top 1%.

The left squeals - the right cheers. The slide to the left stops and we move back toward the center.

Screw the left and their revisonist history. Ya'll need to get used to this. After observing your agitprop for the last 40 years we have learned. Just wait until November. We aren't nice any more and we won't just roll over any more.

To think that such a move will raise at least a generation of young Americans who will be ignorant of historical fact is really just terrible and embarrassing. There aren't enough emoticons to express how I feel about our elected officials (& their supporters) who are responsible for this. Political agendas of any ilk have no place in determining what goes into our public school text books.
