We are no San Francisco, if that is what you are asking. Houston has no zoning, which allows anything be built where people want it built.

Being flat, well we can't do anything about that. Geography sorry.

Generally Houston is a more pro business and has a lower cost of living than most cities in the United States. So there is a price to pay to be the prettiest city I suppose when compared to Other cities.

Yeah I guess it's not a bad thing
I think Houston can progress with more colors, and flowers, that would be more beautiful, without pain

I'm from Chicago. Chicago is considered to be a beautiful city. Guess what? It's just about as flat, it's gray and dreary almost half the time, the winters are awful and outside of downtown, many neighborhoods are pretty dilapidated. Houston is a lot closer to being considered a major city than many people realize.

I don't think Houston's flatness is a disadvantage. Its flatness gives it opportunities to build whatever it wants without any landscape hinderance.

No; I don't think it's ugly. However, it's not pretty either.
