Why does Houston seem to be more underrated than its peers?

I mean, it has everything an American should want in order to live a comfortable life. I just don't understand why it's underrated.

True. But folks also want a city like San Francisco. Hardly any tourist attraction in Houston. The climate is too hot and humid in Summer.
