No, my favorite is "I want a really cheap place, but in great schools, close to downtown, with no sex offenders or any other crime, large new house on huge lot, with a lake view, actually prefer a mountain view, walking distance to museums and restaurant - but really cheap! Oh, yeah, and a 10 minute commute to a mystery-location job." In a city than encompasses almost 9000 square miles, is there a magical place that is a short commute to all jobs within that city? ....and if there were such a place, would it be cheap?

Stats from DPS website and C-D shows this:

The Woodlands (77381) has 7 convicted offenders, 41,943 est total people.

Memorial (77024) has 5 convicted offenders, 34,146 est total people.

Doing the math, high-$ Memorial has slightly more convicted offenders per capita than The Woodlands. Very interesting. In the real-world though, I'd say they're equally free of said offenders.

So to all those who obsess about children being molested, I don't think you can get any better than both of those areas.

Yeah, the whole "Houston's Cheap" reputation is often a shock to those when they actually start trying to move here. It's only cheap to get all/most of all you want if you go far far out...like not in Houston anymore.
