Not too much of a hedonistic lifestyle in general in Huntsville. In some individuals, of course. As a group and politically...no.

No. Most of the engineers in Huntsville are from the South in general and Alabama in particular. A lot of the transplants are military and ex-military which tends to skew pretty conservative. Democrats win around Huntsville by acting conservative at election time and the public not paying attention the rest of the time, and since there will probably be a conservative Republican elected to Congress from the district this time that trick won't work anymore since they'll lack the incumbancy from here on out.

Oh I don't know, I've lived in HSV for officially 6 hours and have heard the song ****** Tonk badonkadonk about 15 times. Now, please don't be confused this song wasn't about the good Lord... Therefore this town must be full of perverts staring at ladies butts. In other news my neighbor has a WWD(Darwin)D bumper sticker, and I am a democrat but I moved into 5 points where I heard my people would be welcome. In conclusion, there are all types everywhere including here you will most likely befriend the people with similar interests. Good luck.

Well, when the city tried to do away with strip clubs, they refused to issue liquor licenses to them. So, the strip clubs became juice bars. Bring the whole family on down to the strip club!!

I think a good tool for measuring an areas conservatism is to look at the local Craigslist casual encounters section...

The freakier stuff you see and the more uncomfortable you are the less conservative the area

That sounds backwards. Seems like the more conservative the area then the freakier the listings are becuase the posters have to hide their freaky ways

"Everybody" is an exaggeration, of course, but Alabama has the highest % of regular church attendance in the country (58%) and Huntsville is probably not too far out of line with that.
