Any input on the area between Holmes and University Dr. Specifically, the residential area between University Place School, the UA Huntsville Exercise Facility, and the UA Huntsville dorms. A friend is looking at a house off Bricknell. It appears to be a well kept neighborhood, but she would like to here from anyone who lives or has lived in the area. Thanks.

I've walked around there several times and it seems like a safe comfortable neighborhood. Generally any neighborhood near a university is pretty nice (big exception is the University of Southern California). Neighborhoods near universities seem cheerful.

If you are concerned with crime, call the police department and they can give you a run down of the area with calls, etc.

Thanks for your input so far. Yes, Charles, this area is in the backdoor of UAH and that does give it points. My friend Bree has been through the area several times during the day and we plan to drive through tonight between 10 and midnight just to check out how it is at night.
