I just wanted to post a reminder to those interested in the membership & reciprocal general admission program, that some restrictions apply (member's residence and/or museum's location).

Knowing this is helpful when purchasing membership, as it turns out it's better to buy "locally".
Case in point: we went to McWane Bham, the kids liked so much that we applied that day's admission toward one-year membership (uninspired, uneducated, rushed, by definition, spur of the moment). When we returned home, I realized I had completely forgotten about the reciprocity. So, I get on my computer to see which museums are on the reciprocal list, and I learn about the restrictions. However, I haven't yet visited other Hsv museums to verify (nor did I call). My toddler kids are too young for the Space Center, but lesson's learned for next year. For the Zoo, we are in the second year with Nashville (cheaper), but visited the Bham lot more =the in-ground water jets sway the kids that way. And I guess it'll be the Huntsville Botanical Gardens starting this fall.

This is what the reciprocal program looks like on paper:

(Children/Science) Museums
ASTC - Passport Program
Association of Children's Museums

Zoo &Aquarium
Association of Zoos and Aquariums - Reciprocal Admissions Program Rules

Botanical Garden:
Events - American Horticultural Society
