Does anyone know what happened to the Frizzles on US 72 ?

(The restaurant in the old Backyard Burgers building on Paramount Drive overlooking U.S. 72 West)

Driving by today and saw it was closed.

Seems quite a few businesses have came and went there since I've lived in the area. Maybe they are just doing some inside work?

Heard from a friend who talked to management that the lease on that location ran out and they had problems renewing it. Supposedly they will be reopening in a new location, although I honestly can't remember where he said it was going to be. I can ask and get the info.

The sign on the building says it's closed, to visit them at their Jordan Lane location.

It doesn't surprise me that they closed, the quality at the University location went downhill fast after it was opened. We tried the one on North Parkway once and it was terrible. We haven't been back since.

That's basically the local DQ franchisee not renewing their franchise and going w/their own brand "Frizzles". Doesn't surprise me that it's not working out!

I understand the guy that owned Dairy Queen at Caddo lost it in a divorce.
Is the Whitt's BBQ out that way still open?

Yes. Provided you get there before 7. I'd much rather have a Lawler's there.

We live in a world in which our fuel resources are shrinking rapidly, growing constantly more expensive and are prone to frequent disruptions in power supply.
