What is your budget? Do you want rural, city or subdivisions? What area is employment and how long of a commute is acceptable?

There are many areas all around H'ville that are 30-40 minutes commute time all depending on where you will be working.

Are schools important, pets and what else ?

ValleyMLS.com

If you can still not find a rental you like at this time, you might look into for-sales, if you find one that you realy like, you could contact the listing agent and see if the owner agrees to renting out for a while (especially if it has been on the market for a while, with price reductions)
