Squash is the same thing as racquetball, right? If so, my boss plays at the Huntsville Athletic Club on Leeman Ferry Road.

Both squash and racquetball are played on a four-wall court, but the similarities stop there. Compared to racquetball, squash has a much smaller, less active ball, a smaller court with a front "tin", and longer racquets (kind of halfway between tennis and badminton). Rallies are longer in squash, and the game favors fitness and strategy over pure speed (unlike racquetball). There's kind of a southwest (Southern California) to northeast (New England) gradient from racquetball to squash; in this respect, Huntsville may be a little more like LA and a little less like Boston.

Sorry for the super bump!

I am also in the area and am wondering if anyone wants to play. I notice that the Athletic Club has a 1-week membership and I'd like to test the place out by playing with some people in the next week or two.

Let me know! And if anyone else has somewhere to play let me know too.

Thanks

I have trouble finding people who play racquetball so finding somebody who plays squash especially in Bama is probably going to be close to impossible.
