I don't know about ya'll, but I'm so very excited about our farmer markets opening up soon...

MADISON CITY FARMERS MARKET
1282 Hughes Road (next to Discovery Middle School)
Madison, AL 35758
Saturdays 8 a.m. - noon , starting this Saturday, April 14th.
There is a coupon for the first two weeks ($1 off $5 at the Passionate Penny Pincher website).

MADISON CO. FARMERS MARKET
1022 Cook Avenue
Huntsville, AL 35804

Does anyone know of any other farmers markets in the Huntsville/Madison/Decatur area? I know there is one downtown Huntsville on Thursdays but can't remember the details!

I always look forward to the markets....yummy fresh produce, and I love the interesting variety of other homemade good!!
This year we are planting a square foot garden to grow some of our own...and I just planted my new Turkey Fig and I potted a Meyer Lemon tree, hoping for some sweet lemons for summer lemonade
My pear tree is getting ready to produce a TON of pears (we hope!!)

Love the local farmer's markets. The locally produced products are great and it is fun to go to the markets and seeing the people. Love it.

Brown Farms has their strawberries now, but it's been a few weeks so I don't know exactly when the season ends.
