I have finally had too much of the new WHNT weatherguy. I can recite temperatures from a map for three minutes at a time just as well, read institutional copy about "there has been a lot of talk about Doppler radar", and gaffs such as thinking the dew point in Huntsville might actually be 47 tonight, yet predicting the temps will only get to 78 overnight. Sorry, but Dan was better and smarter, even with his hysterics. Which station do you think has a better forecast?

I just use a rock and a sock on a stick:
if the rock is white, it's snowing
if the rock is wet, it's raining
if the sock is waving, it's windy
if the sock is missing, it's REALLY windy
if the sock, the stick AND the rock are missing there's a tornado warning.

I like WAFF weather guys. I like the fact that they notify you immediately if there is any bad weather in the area.

Although Dirt Grinder does seem to have it all figured out without even using electricity.

I too like WAFF forecasters. WAFF is superior to the other local news stations.

Yeah, I prefer the WAFF guys.

I liked Dan, he did know his business and he was just carrying on the fine, long-standing Huntsville tradition of weather hysterics.

But, I do get weary of sitting through the long temperature recitation just to get to the forecast.

So, now, my favorite forecast is the weather add-on to my firefox browser.

I think 48 has the best. At one time I liked 31, but all they have now are bimbo's doing the news and weather.

I like Meteogram on my iPod.
iPhone/iPod - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/meteo...410014375?mt=8
iPad - Meteogram for iPad on the iTunes App Store
Take a look at 'em graphs, ooh, buddy.

Though 90% of the time it's just looking outside. Especially this time of year.

I haven't watched local news or weather in years. I use my weather app on my android phone.
I absolutely could not stand Dan Scatterhead btw.....overly dramatic, just trying to grab ratings and sell commercials. I don't need all the hype and sillyness....just give me the forecast in about 15 seconds and I'm good.
