Does anyone know of anywhere in town where folks come together regularly, a couple times a week, to play volleyball? Not necessarily intramural, but just some people who like to play pick up games is fine.

I've heard there are some sand courts off of Drake Ave. Indoor - not sure, but I like the way you are thinking.

Ask someone involved in volley ball at UAH, they might know.

I have heard that there is free play at Holy Spirit on Monday nights, but I can't get verification right now.

As for leagues, UAH has Spring Spike and I think they may run it in the fall as well.

Thanks for the suggestions all. I found a place in Decatur, the Aquadome, and they have open play on Fridays and Sundays, as well as leagues. I'm going to check it out Sunday. If anyone else is looking, I'll let you know, or you can come down there and see with me.

Yes, let me know. I'm old and fat, but I still have some skills.

I'm enjoying playing in the base league.

Wish we had some sand courts in the Athens/West Madison area. Less wear and tear on the knees.
