Yup. Friend of mine is hoping to be a counter manager at the new store, leaving her current asstant manager position in cosmetics for the "Big Leagues"

Best of luck to the new store.

Default Burglary at Bridge Street Apple Store last night

As the article states in the original post the Belk event will take place in a vacant building next to the Apple store.

Just an additional note, the Apple store was burglarized and vandalized last night: Burglary at Bridge Street Apple Store - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

Quote:
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville police responded to a burglary at the Apple Store at Bridge Street Town Centre early Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 3:20 a.m.

Officers dispatched to Bridge Street for an alarm. When they arrived, the front glass of the business was broken out.

They are not yet sure of the amount of property taken.

The burglars left before officers arrived. The investigation is ongoing
Not that this necessarily affects the Belk event but just FYI. I guess they probably have the broken glass cleaned up by now.

I went to Bridge Street Belk last week and was definitely not impressed. The store looks great, but where are all the high end brands they promised? This should have been a Macy's or Von Maur. Huntsville could support luxury retail.

Roger that monkey. Simply pathetic. Just another typical dept store IMHO.

How did it compare to the old Belk at Madison Square Mall?

Really tired of all the Belk Haters. I have been in numerous Macy's that ARE NOT AS NICE. Get over yourself. Also I noticed several higher end brands that other stores in the area don't carry, and I wasnt even looking. People are just too consumed with having to be negative about everything.

IMHO its much nicer. Only complaint my gf had was that it didn't have one of the brands that the one in MSM had. She had to go to the one off the south parkway to get that brand.

Yep (except I was greeted with loud rap). I found a manager to speak with before leaving.
