This will be an awesome addition. Indoor turf and facilities for lacross, volleyball, soccer, basketball, events, etc.

We live in the south. Nothing short of a pool or a basketball gym really warrants us needing an indoor sports facility.

We get about 54" of rain a year. When it rains, the city closes a lot of its outdoor sports facilities.

Plenty of existing empty buildings, like the now empty Belks store at Madison Square Mall that could be converted to the same purpose for pennies compared to this boondoggle. If it's even true!

Not even close to accurate. Do you have any clue how expensive it would be to completely refurbish a Belks store into a sportsplex? You might as well build a new one. Besides the Belks would not be big enough anyways.

Actually facilities like this make an area an attraction as they bring in people region wide for competitions. The facility will have around 3000 seats for competitions of all sorts. This will be a boon to the hotel industry in town and bring in a new revenue stream.

It will have a state of the art basketball court as well as artificial turf for indoor soccer, flag football, and lacrosse. The facilities can also host an assortment of competitions, from cheerleading, wrestling, grappling, martial arts, bodybuilding, to crossfit. There will also be a sports bar inside.

At 3000 seats, it certainly won't serve as a venue for spectator events. I'm all for it if it's privately funded and doesn't require taxpayer dollars to build and maintain.

3000 would be enough for a ping pong tournament. I am all in.
