Wow. That is splitting hairs don't you think?
University/Hwy 72 meet CL at the point it becomes ORRBed. The names don't intersect but the roads sure does.

University starts eastward at the intersection of Jeff/Slaughter and 72. Nowhere close to County Line.

Would it make sense to refer to the intersection of Capshaw and County Line?

How am I being "holier than thou?" Show me any business on 72 from Slaughter westward that uses University in their address and then I'll consider it.

Names have meaning. Improper use can cause confusion. If you aren't getting it, meet me at the Target on University and I'll explain it further.

I think it's just a Native Huntsville thing. My husband calls 72 "University" even out by us in Madison. Just like everyone around here calls Hwy 431/231 "the parkway", whether it's part of the parkway or not, and people call Research Park Blvd "Rideout Road", even though it's not.
