Wait a minute... is this former Kmart the one that just closed recently, or the Kmart that closed years ago, that then was a very strange Walmart, until Walmart moved to a Supercenter anyway?

Thanks for the clarification. What became of that old Kmart-turned-Walmart anyway?

Thanks. Empty... but what do any of you wish it became? Or think it might become?

"Owned by Walmart Realty in Arkansas, the total land and 104,861-square-foot building on 2900 S. Memorial Parkway have a combined appraised value of $4,586,100, according to Madison County tax records."

If you check Walmart Realty you will find the building at "2900 South Memorial Parkway" is still available for sublease.

Not very much listed on their website tho, is it like a Homegoods or Tuesday Morning?
I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that when I lived in Hoover in '96 and '97 that there was an "At Home" store on whatever that road is (near Galleria) that takes you straight to Bessemer. I always took it to be like a "Home Depot," or "Lowes." I think I heard a few folks mention it but never went in there myself. Sorry I don't have a more specific answer.
