We live in Southwest Huntsville. We have had interruptions in both internet and phone for a year now. The interruptions happen multiple times per hour and last a few minutes or more. We are tired of apologizing to people when the phone goes out during calls.

We have had countless calls to customer service and have have had numerous home visits by techs. All they do is apologize and say they are aware of the problem. The tech that came today said they have plans to sweep the area to find and correct the noise problems but can't say when that will start or how long it will take.

I have WoW! internet and phone service, and I've had them for many years (as Cable Alabama and Knology). Over all the years, I can count on one hand the times my service has been out.

It's pretty expensive though, especially if you're an existing customer. I think my 60 MBPS service with telephone is about $110. If you're a new customer and will sign up for one or two years, you can get faster internet and a phone and basic cable for about half that price. I'd change for that very reason if anything else was available. They should treat existing, loyal customers better.

We have Charter/Spectrum at home (Decatur) and AT&T at our shop. I've heard plenty of people condemn Charter/Spectrum but we've had great service. However, it's pricey - $155 a month for phone, TV, internet. Since we were already Charter customers for cable TV, we didn't get any sweet deals for signing on, and after a year, the cost rose.

AT&T at our shop in Trinity - phone and internet only - is very, very good...but today we had our 3rd outage, and for a business that's just unacceptable. I was able to use my iPhone to create a hotspot for internet, at least.
Believe it or not, the cost for phone is great, I think - around $103 per month for unlimited local and long distance calls. For a business, remember. Internet is really faster than Charter, and the cost is around $40 a month.
