Noticed this morning on the way into work that the Regions Bank on Wynn Drive is now permanently closed. All exterior signs and lettering attached to the building identifying it as a Regions have been removed.

Regions has lost a ton of money lately because of Covid, from what I read. Perhaps they're cutting down on branch locations because of that.

This closure was announced a year ago. I had a safe deposit box at Wynn Drive.

The original plan was that Wynn Drive would close after the renovation of the branch next to Krystal was completed.

some of the regional banks which have been closed in FL/AL won't re--open for a variety of reasons, I know several B of A branches here and near the panhandle/gulf will not re-open, ditto branches of Suntrust due to its merger - too much duplication of effort in the SE
