You failed to understand what I was trying to say. This article had stated an average home price of $1 million by 2030 and Matt Curtis corrected saying that his prediction was more like 550-600K, so I respect him a lot for his knowledge of this market and reputation, sounds like a really good professional.

No, I understood perfectly. I am just saying no one knows for sure. But as I was saying, real estate agency owners are not unbiased, they have a vested interest in having people buy sooner rather than later. But I'm sure they are much more knowledgeable than me.

The $600K average housing cost may not be far off, given current inflation that doesn't seem to be abating and being in a fairly rapidly growing area (fast, at least for Alabama). It may even be low. Associated property taxes will also increase with each assessment - nothing new there.

Where did Matt Curtis ever say $550K? If you are seeking "facts and data" why not pony it up yourself? Extrapolating to suit your argument doesn't count.

Actually, I just reread the article and to be exact, he said between 500-600K

Right, which isn't $550K. If you listen to his video, he says the 500's, maybe 600. None of that is 550. Again, you are extrapolating to serve your conclusion.

Isn't Matt Curtis the Alexander Shunnarah of real estate? Master of advertisement. Not sure his opinion is worth any more (or less) than any other economist or real estate agent.

I've never heard of the guy before now, but I suspect you're right.

This comment perfectly describes the mentality of mediocrity that I see everywhere in this area.

Anybody who strives for excellence and attempts to be different from the herd is seen as an "opportunist" or a "carpetbagger"-or if they are trying to "beat the system" somehow-just like when I was referring to introducing a more modern style of housing to this area- "It is never gonna work", "You are gonna lose money".

I hope this "crabs in the bucket" mentality becomes a thing of the past in the area soon.
