Based on the jobs, low cost of living, growth, schools, and other factors, will Huntsville become a mini Atlanta in the near future? Don't get mad at me. Just asked out of curiosity.

I've been to Huntsville before. It's no where near close to being a mini Atlanta.

Has any city in history grown in ten years the way Huntsville would have to grow in order to be 2/3 the magnitude of Atlanta?

Bulldawg why do you want Huntsville to be like Atlanta? The two are completely different.Huntsville and Atlanta are like night and day.Huntsville economy is ran by the federal government.Atlanta economy is much more diverse from entertainment(hip hop and r&b), Coca-Cola, CNN, etc...., Atlanta is more than 60% African American. Huntsville is going to be Huntsville if you don't like it move, because you alone can't change this city. This city ran by mostly conservative white people and Atlanta is not. Atlanta has more in common with Mobile, Montgomery, or Birmingham.

If you want to know what Huntsville is going to be like,No one can answer that.Huntsville has a unique blend of it's own and not like Atlanta.
You have Californians here along with other people from different places that deal with the federal government. With Huntsville bringing a Tennessee Valley twist, you don't know what type of city this might develop into. But it wont be like Atlanta but who knows maybe if you could get the whole black belt to move here.(never). Needs industry

Huntsville can attract more black people. In fact, Madison County is growing more black while the white precentage is slighty decreasing. For Huntsville to be like Atlanta, it has to have a big percentage of blacks. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

You want Huntsville to be like Atlanta right!
But more black people is not the only thing Huntsville needs to be more like Atlanta.Do you understand the difference in the way these two cities are developed (with Huntsville having along way to go) . All this development you see in Huntsville is because of the federal government, long story short this is a military base. Redstone arsenal employs more than 35,000 people that's a major percentage of Huntsville's population if that base was to shut down there goes Huntsville.Atlanta is much more complex than that.
