While a lot of focus has been placed on the big players in Huntsville such as MDA, Boeing, and NASA, there are a lot of smaller and medium sized players scoring contracts and bringing jobs and work to the Huntsville area. Huntsville has a lot of "Plan B"s should it be time to move off of "Plan A".

And there are still a bunch of other contracts just waiting to land. From MiDAESS to the NASA I3P contracts just as an example.

It's pretty darn impressive to see the construction underway on Martin Road on the Redstone Aresenal. Gigantic MDA and NASA and I think AMC buildings going up.

Even though VBIII is going to have the largest office space of in building in the state of Alabama, the AMC building is going to be even bigger.

But prisons don't have revolving cocktail lounges, fitness facilities, massage tables, saunas, spas, or attendants handing out warm towels and potpourri in the restrooms.

Just hope it's enough jobs to cover the unemployment here.

The unemployment rate for the Huntsville metro area, which includes Madison and Limestone counties, was 9.1 percent, with 18,213 people without jobs.
