It is in process; it has already started and (I think) it is expected to be complete in 2011 or so.

Big buildings are under construction on Redstone Arsenal like this one, the mammoth VBIII, which is already too small to handle the expected number of people working for the MDA:
(There are two other very large buildings out of this picture VBI and VBII which are completely full too.) Also, the Army Material Command has a huge building on Martin Road under construction and there's a giant NASA building on the west side of Martin Road under construction.

Probably. But the first question the interviewers ask is "So, What do you think of Huntsville (as compared to Montgomery, Birmingham or Mobile)?"

I think I read how the MDA is very interested in recruiting locals and recent graduates. I think Pat was at A&M or UAH a few months ago in a recruitment thing.

I have several clients in the process of transferring from NOVA, all BRAC related. BUT, this BRAC move is not going to be like the 1999 move, where Boeing transferred so many from St Louis and about 64% came...the majority are NOT going to move. We have a friend who is a full bird here who just hosted a meeting with 18 potential BRAC relocatees, and out of all of them, only one is now seriously considering moving. The others will either retire and stay in NOVA or have other job opportunities in NOVA. The jobs are coming, just not necessarily the people in them. I know AMC is doing a lot of hiring, as is MDA, we have friends who work with both. Most of these jobs will be filled either locally, or from other areas. I have heard they actually have "head hunters" searching for potential employees in other areas to fill these positions.

I've heard likewise that the jobs are coming here but the people aren't going to be coming with them. At least, not as many people as was projected to be relocating here when the decision was initially made.
