As of 5am EST Wed. Sept. 2, 2015, Tropical Storm Fred continues to weaken. Winds 45 MPH, moving WNW at 10 MPH, pressure 1005mb. Expected to continue to weaken and not threaten any land as it drifts over the Atlantic and eventually gets swept up and out. The NHC even says the storms associated with Fred have been displaced by at least 150 nautical miles to the east of Fred's center. It's done for with upper and lower circulations mis-aligned like that and will be moving over colder waters and stronger shear. A Global Hawk drone (newer toy for the hurricane hunters!) will fly a 24 hour mission into what's left of Fred for reconnaissance / research purposes today that took off at 7am.

Thanks, always figure 'pictures are worth a thousand words' still rings true.

Today's Global Hawk flight into Fred that was supposed to take off at 7amEST today turned out to be scrubbed for the day.
