Feel free to chuck this in the Hurricanes forum, I thought it'd be good to go in here.

"Had Ike not wobbled 50 miles to the right in the hours prior to landfall, the scenes below could have been what Galveston would have looked like, even with their seawall."

Oh, that is just sad. On the Texas forum, a few of the people have posted links to some hurricane pics, too. They're mostly in the threads with no title that would indicate pics are present so you kind of have to look for them.

I always thought Galveston would be such a cool place to vacation. Sad that it's in such rough shape now. But yea, it could've been even worse for them.

Yeah I though Galveston looked like a pretty cool place to vacation too, too bad its in a bad way now. Just lucky that Galveston escaped that sort of complete wipeout damage even though they got hit hard.
