This was the view out a bedroom window this morning (well, sort of. It was much more impressive in real life). The peak is actually in Wyoming, but I took the picture in Idaho and the trees in the foreground are in Idaho so, I figure it counts.

I'm looking for a small town, but I don't want to live in town. Wow, I wish I could pack up and move tomorrow, but it will take time. Darn!!

Good luck to you and who knows, maybe we'll both end up in Idaho one of these days.
I'm also in Texas and we moved from Idaho to get closer to family. I love my parents but I am dying to get back!!! Looking at these pictures makes me want to cry! It is just as beautiful in pics as in real life - except in real life, you can't believe your surroundings. I miss that feeling of awe - I gone a lot of places here in Tx and have never once had that feeling. Can't wait to be there one day! Thanks everyone for the beautiful reminders.

Thought I'd give you a sampler of my visits to the State.

This one is Galena Pass heading from Stanley to Ketchum.

This one of Redfish Lake

and this one from the bridge over the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, ID.

Wow!

Dcisive, those are some of the most beautiful pics I've seen posted in a while.

May I ask what type camera set up you're using?

Also, thanks so much for posting where the pics where taken.
