I'm planning a nature and genealogy trip to Idaho in the spring and came across Satellite images (Google Earth) of the Camas Prarie Centennial Marsh with some interesting ponds nearby. They seem to be man-made, there is much order to their appearance - cross shaped and with large objects around them at regular intervals. It's hard to believe they could be natural. There is no mention of them on the park's website. Are they Native American relics or perhaps diggings from previous mining activities? The location is to the south and east of Hill City and can be found on Google maps or Google Earth. Thanks in advance for any info!

Yeah, obviously man-made. Hunted around and found this in an archived Camas Prairie Centennial Marsh Wildlife Management Area Management Plan dated July 1999.

"From 1988-
1990, 18 2 1\2 acre brood ponds were constructed."
