After a lot of research (a lot of it on this forum), we have purchased our retirement home in Rathdrum. We are so pleased with our decision and feel that Rathdrum will be a wonderful community for us. We will not be moving into our house until the end of June. Someone has written us about the fact that our lawn is getting unkempt and too long. We don't know anyone to hire to cut the lawn for us. I don't know if this is an appropriate post for this forum - but we would appreciate a recommendation for how to care for our yard from a distance?. Perhaps- off-list?

Hello tftlh (Robert),

I don't live in Rathdrum (I'm in Sandpoint), but I saw you had no responses to your post, so I thought I'd do a little digging. I have a couple of suggestions for you....no personal experience and no guarantees:

1. I found a blog on the Internet from a garden store in Rathdrum that I thought might be of help to you. You might check with them to see if they can recommend someone that can be trusted to do the job for you. You can find the store at: Westwood Gardens Blog

When you pull up the blog, click on "About Us" for contact information. Call them for a lawncare recommendation.

2. What about the person who wrote to you? Can they recommend someone?

Congratulations on your decision to move to Rathdrum. I hope these two suggestions will be helpful....but someone on here might even have a better idea.
